Polaris makes significant powertrain improvements to the 2023 snowmobile lineup

For 2023, Polaris is making multiple improvements to its lineup, starting with new powertrain options. Here are some of the most significant changes made to the 2023 Polaris snowmobile lineup regarding performance.

For starters, Polaris will add the Patriot Boost engine to the VR1 and Switchback Assault models. This two-stroke turbocharged engine can be paired with 129- or 137-inch tracks in the VR1 and the Assault 146. Both models will also offer the Patriot 650 and 850 engines.

New ProStar S4

Polaris is bringing a new four-stroke engine to its snowmobile lineup in 2023. The new 1000 CC ProStar S4 engine delivers 90 hp and features many of the benefits found in the fuel-injected ProStar engines in its ATV and UTV lineups. Of course, the engine has been significantly redesigned to work with a snowmobile. It features a drive-by-wire drive system with three driving modes and promises impressive performance and great efficiency. It will be available in multiple models, including Titan snowmobiles.

Patriot 9R

The patriot 9R is a more powerful, boosted version of the 850 Patriot engine. With 900 ccs, it promises to enhance the already exceptional performance of the 850 Patriot engine. It will be offered on the Pro RMK and RMK Khaos models and paired with tracks measuring between 146 inches and 165 inches. Give us a call today to learn more.
